THEME -Earth’s Natural Cycle Dear Parents, Let's glance through the month of ‘Miraculous March’. “Practice makes us perfect, revision keeps our knowledge in check.” In the month of March, children got a chance to revisit the concepts taught previously which helped them to strengthen their knowledge and understanding. Following are the topics covered under this theme:
Naturalistic IntelligenceNaturalistic intelligence is the ability to appreciate, categorize, classify, explain, and connect the things of everyday life with nature. This month the students were briefed on actions to be taken to save tigers and other animals such as saying 'No to animal products’, grow more trees to save their habitats. They were also informed about some institutions that work towards protecting and saving animals such as the 'Wildlife protection society of India', 'Wildlife SOS', 'Worldwide funds for Nature'. Children also learnt the life skill of cleaning and laying their table using crockery and cutlery. They enhanced eye hand coordination, dexterity, social skills and courtesy. Verbal Linguistic Intelligence –EnglishVerbal linguistic intelligence develops children’s ability to think and express their thoughts verbally. It also enhances their reading skills by clubbing the phonic sounds of the letters to form words. Our students learnt to communicate with ease using short sentences.
कक्षा में इन व्यंजनों से शुरू होने वाली वस्तुएं दिखाई गई| Logical Mathematical IntelligenceStimulation of logical-mathematical intelligence promotes cognitive development, especially in terms of logical thinking, reasoning, problem-solving and concentration. The children recapitulated ‘Sorting and Sequencing’ through worksheet wherein they numbered the pictures in a sequence of their numbers. Our little mathematicians were introduced to the concept of ‘Addition’ through concrete objects and flash cards, followed by a video demonstration and workbook pages. Children recalled the concept of ‘Heavy-Light’ with the help of an activity using soft toys/concrete objects of varying weights. They revised the concept through a video demonstration and a worksheet. Children also recapitulated the concept ‘What comes After and Before’ through number-line activity and by working with play dough. Children orally counted numbers from 1 to 100 through ‘Macarena count to 100’ action song. Visual-Spatial Intelligence |
